Released on the back of his UK #1 single of the same name this was an attempt by Baldry to build on the commercial success of said single. It's a creditable effort but fails, because of over reliance on the type of songs most would consider to be the purview of the likes of Shirley Bassey, Matt Monro etc. Some of it works,some doesn't. The guy had a distinctive voice and it's a shame that Pye's A&R team and producers didn't go outside their own tried and trusted songsmiths for more contemporary pop material. (in RateYourMusic)
