This is the first album of Alice Cooper, or rather the band Alice Cooper; already because Alice Cooper was born as a band before they were called Nazz, but not to muddy the waters with existing Nazz Todd Rundgren decided to change the name with the name of a famous witch in 1600. The band it was the most strange he had seen in Detroit and later in California, transgressive performances and music with psychedelic hard-rock. Miss Christine of GTO's girlfriend of Todd Rundgren, noticed them and presented them to Frank Zappa who was the owner of the record label Straight that the GTO's accounted and soon "Pretties for You" and became the first album by Alice Cooper. Today it's a fetish for collectors, but also an eloquent document of like Alice Cooper moved early in his career with a strong and a good deal of experimentation, acidic and abrasive than the future of Vincent Furnier. That's why Frank Zappa fell in love with them, music with its own coordinates. (in AllMusic)
