RATO'S INSTRUMENTAL COLLECTION

Uma nova coleção de RATO RECORDS, intitulada "Easy Delights" está quase a iniciar-se. Trata de música instrumental, ou melhor, de música orquestral, atendendo a que são as orquestras o centro das atenções e não os grupos ditos instrumentais, tipo Shadows.Trata-se de algo que ao longo dos meses os leitores assíduos deste blog me têm sugerido e acho que chegou a altura de os satisfazer. Além dos meus discos pessoais irei socorrer-me de muita coisa que vou encontrando nas minhas andanças pela net, pois como se sabe, existem centenas de blogs dedicados exclusivamente à música instrumental nas suas mais diversas vertentes: exotica, lounge, easy listening, etc. Independentemente do significado destas palavras, o único critério que tenciono seguir será o meu gosto pessoal que englobará certamente todas essas variantes, muito embora apenas o melhor dos melhores. “Easy Delights” porquê? A razão é dupla: é que para além das delícias musicais, em que o chamado easy listening ocupará a parte de leão, tenciono aproveitar o ensejo e presentear-vos também com outras delícias mais terrenas que ocuparão a capa e verso dos sucessivos volumes. Afinal nada de novo, pois é algo que há muito já foi levado à prática, como o demonstra a recente coleção dos "Sounds Electronic" que já partilhei com todos vós.

A new RATO RECORDS’s collection named "Easy Delights" is nearly to begin. It concerns instrumental music, or better, orchestral music, because orchestras are the centre of attention, rather than the self-named instrumental groups, like the Shadows. This is something that over the months the usual readers of this blog have suggested to me, and I think the time has come to satisfy them. Besides my personal records I will add many things which I found everyday in my travels trough the net, because, as you know, there are hundreds of blogs devoted exclusively to instrumental music in its many different genres: exotica, lounge, easy listening, etc.. Regardless of the meaning of these words, the only criterion that I intend to follow will be my personal taste that certainly will involve all of those variants but only the best of the best. Why "Easy Delights" ? There are two reasons for it: beyond the music delights, in which the so-called easy listening will take the lion part, I intend to take the opportunity and present you also with other delights which will appear on the front and back covers of the different volumes. After all nothing new, because it is something that has been done for a long time, as you may find in the recent "Sounds Electronic" collection that I’ve shared with you all.
