ELIS REGINA - O 1º Album

Edição original em LP Continental LPP 3.161

(BRASIL, 1962)

First album from one of my favorite brazilian voices. her singing is transcendent, granted, she's barely 15 on this album, and the material seems lifted from an american top 40 list from the 50's but still, Elis is singing, and I like to hear her rather than production, and this is a good sample of that.  "My Favorite Things" sounds like a rejected Disney version, but "Sonhando" is excellent. So yeah, not great, not a first purchase if you are just starting out with Elis, I still find this outing charming. (in RateYourMusic)
