Murry Wilson (1917-1973) was the manager of The Beach Boys from the beginning (1961) until he was fired by Brian Wilson during a recording session in 1964. Later he became the manager and producer of groups like The Sunrays and The Honeys. He also founded the publishing company 'Sea of Tunes' in 1962, which he sold in 1969 for a fraction of its real worth.
